FLOORING PURCHASE HELP

Choose Flooring for Pets

Pets change what you need from a floor. Look at surface wear, traction, cleanup and warranty limits together instead of choosing by a scratch claim alone.

For flooring suited to your household, use Tallahassee Flooring Contractors Group to request a conversation with an independent provider.

Describe your household honestly

Tell the supplier about the number and size of pets, the rooms they use and any recurring accidents. The right questions help narrow the product list.

A hard surface can be easy to wipe but slippery for a particular pet. Try a sample where possible and consider practical walking routes.

Read stain and water terms

Check what the warranty says about pet stains, standing moisture and cleaning products. Terms vary by product and can include important exclusions.

No surface claim means the floor underneath is protected from every accident. Joints, edges and subfloor conditions still matter.

Balance repair and everyday care

Ask whether a damaged plank, tile or carpet section can be replaced and what access that needs. Keep suitable spare material from the original purchase.

Discuss entry mats, furniture protection and the maker's cleaning instructions. A product suited to your routine is more useful than a broad durability label.
